Student Strikes, Montpellier

Some people say that going on strike is the French's national sport! I think they are justified in this case. The students are protesting over a new law (CPE) recently passed which give big businesses a stranglehold over young new employees. At Paul Valery, my university, all classes were cancelled, with tables and chairs set outside barricading entrances to buildings... Pretty effective.

Diverse Wildlife

Just a few pics of various pets and beasts! .

Ethiopia

My sister lives in the capital, Addis Ababba, working as a foreign diplomat. Guess I'm pretty lucky in that respect. Highlight of my trip had to be the churches built into the rock in Lalibela, in the north. Not that many tourists yet either. Makes you feel a bit special!

Paris by Night

Paris can actually be quite empty at night. Even some of the main city streets can be deserted. Some lovely lights though...

Montpellier

There's lots of great weather in Montpellier. I've tried to take advantage of this in these few pictures focusing on shadows and sky.

The London Eye

London Architectural Shots

Like many other European capitals London truly is a photographer' s paradise. I've always had a penchant for the sights of London and its impressive stuctures. My obession with the the BT Tower and London Eye in particular may have been a bit unhealthly! I just love grand urban designs.
