A few shots from Saturday's rally at Trafalgar Sq. About as many media types present there as ordinary folk, so turned my camera on a few of them.

Golf Portrait

I tell you what it is extremely difficult to time the shutter release when shooting golf swings. I had to try several times until eventually I captured my friend Will on connection with the iron. Have to say though that stance looks slightly dodgey!

A mere trifle

Today's activity. Dropped my D80, it landed right on the front of the lens, but it's fine thank God. Wish I could say the same for my UV filter. It did its duty and took it for the team. Also built myself a homemade ring flash having seen a buddy get some good results with his. Hardly a shadow in sight! I made it from a plastic bowl that contained a raspberry trifle. Needless to say I ate the evidence.

London Student stories

A few pictures from recent London Student publications. The hands' photo relates to the front page article a couple of weeks ago on the SOAS student being arrested and extradited to the US on terrorism charges. The hands actually belong to a friendly member of ULU staff who offered to help out at the last minute.
