These production stills were taken on the set of Middle Eastern Flavours - a new cooking programme hosted by Mireille Masri. The recipes are from...yep you guessed it...the Middle East and I might add the food looked fantastic.
This was also the first time I got to try out my new Jacobsen sound blimp with my Nikon D700 and it worked great. I was really pleased, especially because the shutter on the camera isn't the most discrete. There was hardly a sound to be heard even in a small kitchen with half a dozen crew members jostling for space.
I've said it before but I'll say it again I am constantly amazed by the low light capabilities of the D700. So much detail at 3200 and even 6400 ISO. Even when the noise does begin to creep in it has a nice 'filmic' quality to it, no horrible smudging.
