Info: D700 with 70-200mm f/2.8 VR lens at 200mm, shutter speed 1/8s aperture f/2.8 ISO 1600.

As well as the usual award photos I took this picture of a nominee watching a promo film , using only the light available from a cinema screen. Very steady hands required! The Vibration reduction on the lens obviously helped. I love pushing my camera gear to the limit and seeing what can be acheived. Close up the lack of noise in this image is remarkable.

Alessi Ark

Alessi Ark is a folk singer and artist. First photo was taken outside the Riverstudios near Hammersmith bridge with and 85mm lens open wide f/2 and a silver reflector. Second shot I used two speedlights, one through an umbrella camera right and another camera left, with my 24-70mm f/2.8.
